Rock the Green 2016 – New Venue, New Partners, Expanded Focus

We’re excited to announce that Rock the Green music festival will be returning in 2016 with a new venue, new partners and an expanded sustainability focus.

Rock the Green is holding the festival at the Reed Street Yards, an evolving eco-industrial zone, balancing natural resources and economic development. Given the new venue and proximity to the Global Water Center, we will be focusing on freshwater, along with sustainability. Badger Meter is once again a sponsor and we’re partnering with the Milwaukee Water Council. We hope with this partnership we will further raise awareness of Milwaukee as a hub for freshwater and sustainability.

Stay tuned for more festival details throughout the year, and thank you for your support in making our world a better place through our joint commitment to sustainability.

Reed Street Yard highlights:

  • The Global Water Center overlooks venue on Freshwater Way

  • LEED Platinum pre-certified & one of Wisconsin’s first Eco-Industrial Parks

  • Backdrop of Festival is the Milwaukee cityscape

  • Cutting Edge Water Technology Demonstration Plaza (opens a pdf)

  • Beautiful urban waterfront environment with links to Hank Aaron State Trail

We can’t thank our supporters, sponsors and countless volunteers enough. You make the organization what it is, have validated the concept of Rock the Green, and provided a strong foundation for us to build on. We’ll see you soon!
